With three hit shows (Gray's Anatomy, Private Practive and Scandal) on one major network (ABC) Shonda Rhimes is showing the world why she is one of Holllywood’s most powerful women today.

Through her production company Shondaland has fulfilled a desire that she had: to rule the world through television. Millions have been caught in the spell of her story-lines, and with Season 3 of her blockbuster hit Scandal breaking television records and earning awards, we can understand why she is able to smile.

Think of her personal story: a single mother who was writing at home to now being recognized by Oprah as a force to be reckoned with in the world. "If I can continue doing this work and loving it, and still find time to be a mother,"says Shonda, "I'm living my dream."
